So we are planning the week stay in Padua-late September where with the rental car we will do day trips to many towns/cities in the Veneto. I want to gather some ideas for other activities for us, apart from visiting the key features of our destinations(such as Padua's Scrovegni Chapel, St.Anthony's, etc). I've researched much of what we want to see so I don't really need that kind of receommendation.
I'm looking for recs. for fall events or festivals for the Veneto that would take place during the last week of September. I've checked out sites for the Veneto and Padua but I couldn't get them to bring up events/festivals for September-would only show current or previous months. What am I doing wrong? Do I need to check back in September?
Are there any food, art, music or cultural events at this time that might be fun to attend? I'm particularly interested in Padua since that 's where we'll be staying.
For example, I noticed Montagnana had a ham festival in spring, I believe. I would have like to have gone to that.
We will be in Venice the following week so not necessary to suggest events happening there.
Hoping you can help!
