Hi,

I am hoping to go to Turin in 2006 to the olympics and hope to get tickets for the men's free programme in the figure skating on 16/02 and the ice dance the following day.

I am uncertain how far the venue is from the airport and would welcome any knowledge of close hotels/accommodation.

If any die hard skating fans are interested in meeting up at the games or travelling together or staying in the same hotel, it would be nice to have some company!

Hi Karen

Here's a link to thr map on the official Torino 2006 website, which shows where the ice-rinks are in town. I think the airport is about 10 miles from the city.

Good luck getting your tickets - I think the box office opens again on 10 Feb if you haven't already bought tickets in the first round of sales.

Skaterlady:

If you are looking for someone to buy your extra ticket for the women's freeskate please email me at kkmetetz@hotmail.com.

If anyone has suggestions for reasonably priced accomodation in Torino I would love to hear them!

My name is Patrick and I am from Calgary Alberta Canada, I My two freinds (Kevin and Andrew) and I are all 20 years old and we attend University on an exchange program in Amiens, France. Our time in Europe has been excellent so far.

We are looking for anywhere to stay for the olympics between the 14th of Febraury to the 19th and if you only have availabilty for one of those evenings we are interested as well . As you can imagine we are students on a limited budget. We have purchased tickets to go see the hockey (typical Canadians). We are simply looking for a place near Turin and we will sleep virtually anywhere, we can share beds or sleep on the floor or what ever is necessary to have a warm room and perhaps a bathroom. If you do not have any accomadation kindly give me any advice, information or contacts of anyone who could help us with somewhere to stay.
