Not to be missed in 6 hours

In 2 weeks' time we shall spend 6 hours in Milan (arriving at Central Station at 12:00, storing our luggage at the station and departing same at 18:00). Does this leave us enough time to visit the Duomo, Galleria Vittorio, San Santiro, Pelazzo Reale and the Teatro alla Scala? We plan to take the Metro from the station. Is this the best option? We see that there are two Metros by the same name (Duomo). Where do we get off?

From Central Station to Duomo you must use the yellow line direction San Donato.

In six hours you may see all what you listed and potentially this place tripadvisor.it/Attraction_Review-g187849-d59… and/or one of the symbols of Milan tripadvisor.it/Attraction_Review-g187849-d24…

From Castello Sforzesco you need to walk till Piazza Cadorna and from there catch the underground green line direction Gessate - Cologno till Centrale.

You may also try to use trams but it is more complicated and time consuming.

There is only one Metro station called Duomo, but it has platforms for both Line 1 (red) and Line 3 (yellow).

Thanks for the response. What is the difference between the two lines? Does one come from the station?

Central station is served by yellow and green line, Duomo by yellow and red line (the older).

To reach Duomo from Central Station the only alternative (unless you would change line but you will waste time) is yellow line or trams but these ones are more complicated to use.

There are underground stations served by different lines due to their strategic importance, green line for example serves satellites cities east Milan.

If you manage to use a tram from Central Station to Scala theatre (Duomo area) you should take n. 9 direction Porta Genova (having platforms behind you take the stairs on your right) and then change to tram n. 1 (older models) in Piazza della Repubblica. This is an alternative but there are others by tram or bus (for example n. 60 stops in front of the station and arrives very close to Duomo).

I would use the metro as it's the easiest to navigate and you wouldn't know where to get off if you use buses and trams which stresses me out when I'm in a city I don't know, you can get some ifno from this link:
