We are seaching for summer holiday options for July/Aug for a family of 4 (two children aged 10 and 14). Bergamo has come into our searches, initially because the flight search brought it up.
I have looked at as much as I can online, but would love some first had experience. We love to explore while on holiday and would like to look around the town, but am worried it won't be enough to occupy us for a week.
Can you please tell me what there is in the surrounding area, that can be reached by public transport (we won't be hiring a car). I would assume that Milan and Verona are within easy reach, but what about the more scenic areas, where we can walk, wander and chill for a bit?
All advice would be gratefully received, so we can decide if this is a real option for us.
