How to get from Modena to Siena

Hi All,

My girlfriend and I will be travelling to Siena in early October from Modena. I was wondering what the best method of transit is? The train seems to be an option though it includes 2 connections via Bologna and Florence. The bus site is also only in Italian and I only speak a little italian!

Can anyone offer some advice?

Thanks,

Greg

Neither Modena nor Siena is on a main train line; hence the two changes. You can take a bus, but you have to catch it at an interchnge on the autostrada.

Hello

you have 2 options, by bus or by train.

by bus: http://www.sena.it/Home/78-1-en.html

by train: www.trenitalia.com/cms/v/index.jsp…

with the bus you must change in Bologna, with the bus in Firenze.

If you need help let me know.

I tried to do a reservation for tomorrow morning with trenitalia.

MODENA 08:42 Firenze Rifredi 10:07

Firenze Rifredi 10:16 Siena 11:38

so you must change in Firenze. The price is 21,40 euros one way.

I don't know if you visited Firenze before but it could be a possibility to visit the 2 cities.Siena is a small town.

Thanks for your help everyone! I think the train will have to do, but it's a great opportunity to see the beautiful Tuscan countryside!

Gratzie mille.
