Could anyone please give information on the transfer from Froli Airport to Bologna city centre. By train, Bus or Taxi and the approximate cost.

Many Thanks

If you are travelling to Forli with Ryanair, the following info from the Ryanair website may be useful:

"Bus service to Bologna leaves approx. 30 minutes after flight arrival from London and Frankfurt. This takes approx 1hr 15 mins and cost 10.00 euro. Buses from Bologna depart at 12.30 Monday-Friday, 15.20 Saturday and 13.15 on Sundays. arrive in Forl approx. 1hr 20 mins before flight departure from Forl to London and Frankfurt For Further information on bus services from Forli see the ATR web site. E-bus www.e-bus.it web site. There are, return, buses going from Forli airport to Bologna, Ravenna, Rimini, and various other adriatic sea holiday resorts. Click ryanair.com/destinfo03/dests/forli_bustimeta… for bus timetables and information. "

However, the timetables are seldom up-to-date.

I have used the service a few times, and it is usually straightforward. On arrival at Forli, you may find a few coaches around, and you may need to ask which is the direct service to Bologna, as there are other local services operating from the airport, and not always well indicated. The coach to Bologna terminates at the bus station, which is situated near the top of Via dell'Independenza and about 5 minutes walk from the train station. To return to Forli, I'd advise you to check out in advance exactly when and where it departs from - last summer it was from a stop across the street from the train station, not from the bus station as you might expect ( but that may have been due to changes resulting from the long closure of Bologna Airport)
