 Antico Ristorante Sibilla - Tivoli

I posted this on the Tivoli forum, but it isn't very active...so I thought I'd ask the Rome experts about it, too.

Has anyone tried this restaurant for lunch?? We are thinking of going there before visiting Hadrian's Villa on a Sunday afternoon. From what we've read, it seems nice. What can we expect price-wise?? Is it very expensive? I've been looking online for a menu, but cannot find one.

Opinions, anyone??

Thanks

The place is gorgeous, I have been there with many clients. A meal could cost btw 70-100 euros per person; the price changes a lot depending on the wine choise, a seafood menu, the number of courses. They have a beautiful garden where you can eat outdoor, if the season allows it. The view over the Sibilla's temple is breathtaking! It's worthy of visit only to check the list of personalities who ate there in the last two centuries (many people from royal families from all over the Europe)! Ciao Daniela

Daniela, would lunch be 70-100 euros per person? I'd spend that for dinner, but for what we need (a somewhat quick lunch), it might be a little steep. I don't know that my son would appreciate the meal, but I really want to see the surroundings.

Thanks,

Karen

One more question, Daniela. Do you recommend any other restaurants for lunch near Hadrian's VIlla??

Thanks

Let me do a little research, because I know another place near the Sibilla, same magnificent view but much cheaper. The only problem is that I don't know the name......I recognize it on site! Stay tuned....ciao Daniela

PS In Italy you can go in a fancy restaurant for lunch and asking only an appetizer with a salad: staff people don't expect big meals at lunch! Just a suggest......

hi..to Rome70..could I ask if this Antico Restorante Sibilla the restaurant that has an ancient temple (semi circle with a lot of columns) at the back of the restaurant? It is right on top of the mountain and there are waterfalls to view from the restaurant? My guide brought me to a restaurant last year and I forgot to ask him the name of the restaurant. It is really an beautiful place so I wanted to go back there. please advise.. thanks!

Sorry but I don't know any place near hadrian villa. If you have a driver I would accept his suggest as well (100% the Sibilla!). Ciao Daniela

Dear Fortwaynemom-

I ate at the Antica Sibilla last year with a small group I was escorting through Italy. We loved the restaurant and will be returning this year when I escort another group. I found the lunch to be around E40 - E50 per person average. Of course it depends on your order but this is certainly possible. The setting is exceptional and the food was excellent. I hope this helps you.
