Amalfi/Capri

Hello: We are on a cruise and one port is Naples. We would like to do an affordable tour of Amalfi Coast. It is myself and 2 sons. We'd like to go from the port in Naples, drive along the coast and maybe stop at a beach somewhere to snorkel (Capri)? Is that lot to do? My teenage sons will not want to shop in the towns but rather view as we drive along etc. Any suggestions for a tour that sounds like this?

Capri is a separate island off of Naples. It is not along the Amalfi Coast. If you want to go to Capri instead of the Amalfi Coast you can take a hydrofoil/ferry from Naples. I don't recall noticing snorkeling in either area.

See this Thread asking more or less the same question

The Amalfi coast is some distance from Naples and with the limited time available you are very restricted on what you can do. Most orgainised trips are based from Sorrento so you would have to get there first and return to Naples later from there. If you really want to visit the Amalfi Coast private car hire is the way to go.

As suggested in an earlier posting visiting Capri only may be best with two teenage sons. It is easy to catch the fast ferry from Naples near to where the cruise tenders will drop you off. You can pick up a boat cruise around the island with some time near some beaches from Grand Marina on Capri. See this Thread.
