Dear StoliToronto,

The Baia Domizia is in the province of Caserta and it'd be easier to have a car than to pay lots of money to take a taxi out 30+ miles or so from Napoli Capodichino Airport. You could also think about renting a car from Napoli Capodichino and then driving up to Baia Domizia as driving out of Capodichino isn't too bad and you could bypass downtown Napoli completely. Travelling from mid-July until mid-August might be a little nutty by the coast even in areas far from downtown Napoli, however, you'd face the same traffic if you were to drive from Roma.

If renting a car is not an option:

we used following way

a) train from Rome Airport - Rome Termini station - 30 minutes departs every 30 minutes

b) train from Rome Termini to Sessa Aurunca station on Rome - Napili line - 1.5 hours, see schedule on TrainItaly page [ you can also select IC train till Formia and than regular Formia - Sessa Aurunca]

c) a taxi from the station - about 10 minutes (telephone number for the taxi is on the bus stop just at the station entrance)

I think it is the fastest way!

I grew up at the beach in Baia Murena, 5 minutes from Baia Domizia and I know the drive.

I would fly into Napoli Capodichino,and rent a car there. From the airport you get onto the Tangenziale (Pay road) North and it's a 45 minutes drive to Baia Domizia. (You will have to drive through a few beach towns) . Don't miss out on the beaches North of Baia, towards Gaeta, you'll find beautiful coves!
