We stayed at Queens a couple of years ago, and have dined there on a number of occasions,and echo your thoughts on the place, we poped in for a drink mid jan when we had a w/end at the hotel Avenida, not sure we liked the refurbed bar area (what was that thing protruding from the bar) we like queens, the food and the atmosphere there and watch the footy at their bar next door.

Have we been to the same place??? The manager Wayne is a nasty foul-mouthed little man. He is so rude. The rooms were not ready so we mentioned it and all we got was abuse. AVOID THIS HOTEL. the staff were quite nice.

I agree with steevieb, we went ay christmas, the place was closed and we were not told til we got to the hotel. it was a building site. no apology, the woman Julie on the desk was downright rude, saying we should be grateful they had found us somewhere to stay..... we were put in the petite palou appts which were fab. we have booked back there again. Cheaper than Queens.

hi mirrimaid i totally agree wayne and derek are two lovely guys and are the most welcoming people i have met! we have been eating and drinking in queens for the past three years and we love it.COULDNT WISH FOR NICER PEOPLE going back on monday 5th june to seethem all again .....get in .

yes mirrimaid, grat place to go to friday night there is a must, they put a show on, at around 10-00pm brill,

it has just been refurbished with a roof top terrace. food still tasty.

real good place.

I agree with you the Queens Hotel is fabulous!!!

I agree with you that the staff are brilliant but I would not go as far to say that Wayne and Derek are nice. The food has gone down hill and the place could do with a good clean if you go there have a look at the reception desk there must be months of dust there. as for wayne he is just downright rude if your face does not fit in with him.
