take the room only. you can tack on brekkie if you want but my tip is go to the rambla bar just along the street on la rambla. a coffee and toast is just the job there and leaves plenty of room for a leisurely lunch later on.

We have stayed at the Hospes Amerigo twice this year. It is an amazing hotel. The service you will receive is first class and the rooms are spotlessly clean. We are going again this Saturday and can highly recommend it. Breakfast is quite expensive and like the other reviewer we also visited the Rambla Bar most mornings for breakfast which will only cost you a few euros for toast and coffee.

crema de la creme hotels (google it and it's the top listing) is currently having a special deal on hospes amerigo (107 euro including breakfast)

we stayed there at the beginning of oct... was excellent.

we went room only and had breakfast one of the mornings - was nice but expensive, and like other have said, there are nice places all around where you can have breakfast much cheaper.

the hotel is really well equipt... nice pool, gym and beauty salon, the freebie toiletries are fab - shampoo, etc but also toothbrush, shaving kit, sponge etc! rooms are nice, beds are really comfy, tapas restaurants really good and staff are lovely
