we have reservations for 8 nights in Madrid. Want to daytrip to northwest of the city. Want to see El Escorial, Valley of the Fallen, and maybe overnight in Segovia?(that way we can see Valley of the Fallen). or should we overnight in a different town? any suggestions? should we try to include Avila, also?

Any suggestions appreciated. Gracias
