Is there restaurant serving local food in Puerto Rico?

Never been to the Gran Canaries before but would love to try the local food. Can anyone suggest if there are any restaurants in Puerto Rico that serve local dishes?

Spent alot of time in Spain and tried many a menu del dia, do they have them in the Canaries?

Travelling on Monday 2nd with my husband and son (aged 9) and have a special occasion to celebrate on Tuesday so if anyone can also suggest a good place for this I would appreciate it.

Thanks to anyone who replies.

Balcon Canario is where the locals tend to go - its situated down the outside of the main commercial centre on the right hand side.

Not seen many menus of the day - a lot of places tend to be steak/fish/chicken based.

Try the canarian potatoes with mojo sauce - spicy but lovely.

Somewhere down on Amadores beach might be nice for your special night out - you could sit and watch the sunset whilst having your meal.

sunny and lovely.

There is a link here to Amadores beach website where you can watch a webcam. Remember the temperatures are taken in the shade.
