A special trip

We will be in Seville for 5 nights at the end of May for my husnabds 50th birthday. We are staying at the Alfonso XIII. We love good Spanish food both Tapas and the amazing local produce used for main course meals. We would also enjoy an authentic flamemco or music performance. Other than an evening meal in the hotel one night can anyone suggest places to spend the other four evenings? As it is special trip, expence is not an issue.

Wow 5 nights at Alfonso ! I would be tempted to stay at the hotel all the time ! Must be nice since the refurb and I recall the pleasant relaxed atmosphere of the courtyard space used for summer dining.

Just up the same street (the tram street) towards Prado de San Sebastian is an establishment been going a long time called Egana Oriza which is certainly close by and has some tasty tapas + an inside restaurant. Have tried the tapas service and it was good. http://www.restauranteoriza.com/index.php

Over to Arenal there are several places but the fairly new La Bulla which is not exactly "over the top" yet seems to be a relaxed venue for dishes cooked in full view .No table cloths. I would go again if in that area . It's on the Trip Advisor listings at currently no. 43.

Actually worth looking down the TA listings and reviews plus the map to see if you can spot one or two you like ?

Also if you have some Spanish then the local paper has a good guide again with map and pictures :

Maybe worth arranging a tapas tour with someone like this:

Oh and always a long time favourite destination for either lunch or posh dinner is Alabardero

- you can check the spa/arab baths http://www.airedesevilla.com/ where you can enjoy a massage and a tea.

- this one is for free, but a nice walk in Barrio de Sta Cruz at night is a great thing to do.

- I like flamenco at Casa de la memoria.

- For restaurants, other than the ones mentioned above, I'd add Az-Azait tripadvisor.com/Restaurant_Review-g187443-d1… and also Abades Triana for a dinner with a river view.

For buying luxory local food and drink, try the "gourmet section" in El Corte Ingles (Plaza del Duque)
