Alhambra Night + Day tour recommendations needed

I plan to be in Granda this June for two days. I will reach on a Thursday afternoon. I would like to see the Nasrid palaces that very night and the rest of Alhambra & Generalife the following morning.

I have been able to locate tickets for such a combined night+day tour - however I'm unable to find guided tours for these times. I really do want to understand the history of these monuments too.

I would greatly appreciate any suggestions for guided night+day tours. I'm unable to locate any online.

The Nazari Palace has an audio guide that you can get. Beside the wine gate there is a bookshop where you can get this book:

The Alhambra and Granada

In Focus

This book is vey good and has photos and diagrams that explain everything.

The history of the Moors and the Alhambra is most interesting.

You could read the account made by Washington Irving in mid 1800s when he traveled down to see the place from Madrid and stayed within its walls. His statue is outside the Justice Gate on the path leading down to the city. His book can be read online.

Also it is useful to study the official Alhambra web site as it contains extra details and information (English top right):

I would suggest that you read up on the Nasrid palaces before your trip.

The first night enjoy the sights and atmosphere of the Nasrid palaces without a guide.

The next day the Audio guide (which is really good) will guide you with the number system throughout the monument.

Check out the gift shop in Palacio Carlos V which has great books to take home with you after the trip.

If you really want to look into a guide I would recommend:
