When we went past a couple

of weeks ago it was closed and being refurbed yet again .....i see now Las Palomas has gone so have most of the little shops up the st too ,we always have a wander round the area

Las Palomas is still there, well it was yesterday lol... it's closed yes, but still there and occupied by former staff that haven't been paid according to a reliable Spanish source.

I wouldn't have bothered refurbing until March/April time next year, that strip in Carihuela is like a ghost town between November and March - other areas in Carihuela (weather depending) are usually still buzzing especially during the day, but take a distinct turn to quietness (as do most places) in the evening, but even more so if you're not on the front line - only one street back but can make all the difference.... it's all about "location location location" ;-)

Cheers was open yesterday, but happy days seems to be the Brit type bar in the area packing them in.

Both bars from cabello, (you have probably left by know as closing tonight until the 1st march as usual), turn left out of hotel, happy days 400 yards on the right, Cheers 50 yards in front across the road.

CB: La Copa and Tito Juans still pack them in November to March.
