Malaga was a second choice of holidays. We originally planned to go to Menorca in September but health problems caused that to be cancelled.
Birmingham is a rubbish airport and so our choice of direct flights was limited, TA assurances that Malaga was a place worth visiting decided us. We found an apartment and flew out the week before Christmas.
I still had reservations thinking about lager louts and fish and chips and English tea. How wrong I was.
Malaga is a delightful city. It seemed to be full of Spanish families enjoying pre Christmas activities. It was a delight to hear very few English voices.
Some of the highlights,
Larios with its lights, its people, its entertainment, Mickey Mouse, stilt walkers, a fantastic turtle marionette who played the piano and shook hands with children, music.
Tapas, really enjoyed the food.
Botanical Gardens, serene, green, away from it all.
Thyssen Gallery, why didn't I know that there were so many superb Spanish painters other than Goya.
Mijas, donkeys, Brits and a really pretty place.
Thank you Malaga for a truely enjoyable holiday.
