Just for the record, El Puerto also boasts the famous OSBORNE brand of sherries and brandies that are well known throughout Spain and further afield. The sherry bodega is very near the catamaran ferry dock and they provide tours and tasting as well as a small shop for souvenirs. If you find the Hotel Santa Maria on the quayside near the ferry on Calle Los Moros just walk up that same street about 500 yards and you will find the entrance.
El Puerto has one of the largest bullrings in Spain. I think that it is around the 3rd largest. In the very popular summer months they have a regular bullfight here. You can visit the bullring.
There are many nice places to have a meal in the town and it is very popular in peak summer months for night life and bars etc. The beaches around are not too bad so folk enjoy the beaches in the daytime and head for the town at night.
