What's the easiest way to get from Dortmund to Amsterdam? I'm assuming trains - can anyone tell me how long it takes (the train ride) and how you go about that process - any websites / information is appreciated

There are ICE trains from Dortmund to Amsterdam

You have to change in Duisburg.

There direct trains from Duisburg to Amsterdam ( need 2 hours )

It might be a lot cheaper to book 2 tickets :

One from Dortmund to Duisburg by local train RE1 or RE6 (every half hour , less than 40 minutes, costs 9,10 Euro, no need to prebook)

One by ICE from Duisburg to Amsterdam (from 19 Euro , if you book early with this link : bahn.de/international/view/en/prices/europe/…

I'm seeking a bus from Dortmund to Amsterdam (March 06,2009, and back from Amster to Dortmund at March 08,2009) but don't find anything. Can anyone halp me please?

You cannot find a bbus because there are none. There is a good train connection, and therefore no buses.

as I understood trip by train will cost apprx 100-120 Euro. I'm seeking something cheaper. Could anyone help me with any advices?

Go to bahn.de choose the language you want, enter your travel details times etc. As of now there are tickets dep Dortmund 10.38 arr Amsterdam 13.25 on6th

and return 18.34 arr 21.15 cost €58. You have to change trains once each way. There are no direct trains or buses
