International school short term

We are planning 3 1/2 months away from home this year. 2 of those months we will be based in Berlin. We were thinking of taking some school work from home for our 9 year old, but were wondering also whether there would be any school that would take our daughter for 4-6 weeks while we are there. Do the international schools take students for short term? She doesn't speak german so a regular school may be a bit over whelming for her...

Not sure whether to worry about it, or just let her enjoy the experience of being in a new country and learning from our travels.

Any thoughts????

No No No ... your travel is her best educational experience. Take her to museums, to art galleries, let her see and experience.

I am a high school teacher and often kids at my school ask (well actually it's their parents) for work while they are OS - I say - take a camera and a journal - record your experiences - way better than anything you'd get from a text book and it won't take up as much room in your luggage.

you could also set her up a blog so her schoolmates in Oz can follow her travels) - good for the IT skills too.
