I don't know these hotels, so I can only comment on the location and say that both don't have an excellent location, but from these two I would choose Europa City, simply because the Residenz 2000 is located in a rather seedy area, and just in front of a very busy street (with an upper rail line), which also means noisy. Near Europa City you've got plenty of restaurants.

In general, I would suggest searching again. What are your dates and price limit, perhaps I can recommend anything from the available hotels?

I agree on what's been written before.

You can really find better places in Berlin.

And if not hotel, there are also loads of very cheap and well-equipped apartments you can rent also for a few days!

Oh, and Ku'damm depends where, is quite long.

U can anyway get by bus to Zoologischer Garten and from there take S-Bahn to Mitte area, is quite well connected.

Need more details in order to tell u exactly.

I also recommend trying hostels, especially CityStay (www.citystay.de) through the telephone, they might not be available in many hotel sites and they give good value.
