Getting on and off trains on a single ticket

We are planning a trip to the Black Forest over Christmas. We intend to use Freiburg as a base and do day trips from there via train. It looks like there are quite a few places that are close to each other that probably don't require a day each so I was wondering if they could be combined using a single train ticket. As an example, could we get a ticket to Haslach and get off the train and look around Gengenbach and get on a later train to Haslach? Or would we need to get seperate tickets for each?

Many thanks

You can do this with DB standard fare tickets. But not on RVF single tickets. RVF is the local public transport association of the Freiburg area. RVF tariff applies e.g. from Freiburg to Titisee.

http://www.rvf.de/RVF-Gebiet.php

It will be however cheaper to use 24h or day tickets covering all local public transport. Regional trains, S-Bahn, trams and buses. A mini group (up to 5 persons) 24 hours ticket for the whole RVF network is EUR 19,80.

To Haslach or Gengenbach you can use a Baden-Württemberg Ticket. EUR 21 for 1 person. + EUR 4 for every further person on the ticket up to 5 persons in total. Baden-Württemberg Ticket is valid

Mo-Fr: from 9am till 3am next day

Sa,Su, public holidays: from midnight till 3am next day
