We are planning on staying at Mas Jorel in Gargus for 3 nights, they are booked the rest of the week. Goal: shop a market or 2 for soaps, oils, baskets and pottery, see a few beautiful villages, buy one nice painting from local artist, prefer impressionism. Do something off the beaten path and simply take time to enjoy.
Arrive Monday afternoon check in head to Roussillon then possibly Goult then somewhere for dinner. Recommendation?
Tuesday-Gordes Market, L'Isle-sur-La Sorgue, for lunch, Fontaine de Vaucluse, dinner?
Or from Gordes market head to St.Remy and Les Baux. Have dinner in St. Remy. Which would you suggest? This or below..
Tuesday option 2- Head to market in Sault or Vaison La Romain, which seems a little far. Possibly do a Lavander distillery. Dinner in Vaison? Have not looked at this area closely.
Wednesday-visit Gordes and ? if we choose to go to Sault Vaison La Romain on Tuesday. Would love to Spend an afternoon doing off the beaten path, goat farm, Honey farm, short bike ride, open to suggestions.
We need to head somewhere Thursday and will leave Friday afternoon. Open to any suggestions or activities or active pursuit geared toward a college age student. Arles? The coast? horseback riding or jeeping in Camargue? Cassi? we cannot do the boat tour, seasick.. Go a little further east? Head back to a location towards Montpellier? Anything off the beaten path? We live in Bordeaux, so Aix seems like it would be similar, larger city. We are planning on taking her to Biarritz for a weekend so she will get a taste of the coast then but the water on the Mediterranean is so pretty. She has been to Arcachon and loved that. She lives and attends college in the U.S. so trying to give her a taste of Provence, but not bombard her with 4 days of wondering little villages! Grateful for your input.
