Advice on transport from Nice Airport

Could someone please offer advice/opinion on the following companies that have quoted transfers from nice airport to Cannes: the 1st company is First Class Private Luxury Transport and the second is Riviera Mercan tour.

Has anyone used either of these before or recommend either one? We do not want to take a bus or train so require a private transfer. Thank you

megan- I have no personal experience with either (there are lots of such transfer companies in the region). The only comment I have is that the First Class charge of 110 euro from the airport to Cannes is very high. This seems to be some kind of brokerage for luxury transfers (i.e. they farm it out).

Riviera Mercan Tour which has the air of being a 'one man band' at 70 euro is perhaps a more 'average' charge for a private transfer.

You could consider a taxi.

...or the 210 Express bus from the Nice airport to the Cannes harbor. We've traveled by taxi and car, and I'd save your money for a great bottle of wine!

Luggage is stored below the cabin, so the bus is easy and comfortable. Depending upon the size of your party, however, a taxi is sometimes cost effective. Here's an estimate on the rates:

This is an estimate, so use it as a guideline.

Hi Megan, you say you don't want to get a bus that's fine I would just get a taxi at the airport .

However if your only reason for not getting a bus is worried about the logistics - don't the 210 bus is fine.

Once we arrive at Terminal 2 where do we go to get the Express Bus 210?

Is it signposted at Arrivals?

Also, do we pay on the bus or do you need to get tickets in advance?

Where does it stop in Cannes? We are staying at the Hotel la Canberra so would have to get there from wherever the bus drops off in Cannes.

Hope you can help

thanks

The bus station is outside the arrivals hall at T2 and well signposted. Pay for tickets at the kiosk or online

The 210 terminates by the old harbour in Cannes.

For the Canberra, stay on the pavement next to the lane where the bus stops and keeping the sea on your right keep walking past the petanque area, Mc Donalds, various restaurants and the Palais des Festivals building onto the Croisette, keep going past the Majestic hotel and shops for about 10 minutes until you see the Grand Hotel lawn and the JW marriott hotel next to it.

Turn left at the Marriott up rue Amouretti. You will see a large apartment building with red canopies and a garden area less than 100 metres ahead . Walk through the garden and the gap in the middle of this building . The Canberra is directly in front of you.Walk up rue Signoret at the side of the Canberra- You can get into the hotel up the short flight of steps using the side street entrance next to the pool or turn left at the rue d'Antibes for the hotel main entrance.
