Paris to Lourdes

Hi' We're traveling from Disneyland Paris to Lourdes this September 2014 and Lourdes to Paris CDG Airport, would appreciate if someone can recommend us the best transport, we're thinking of taking train from Disneyland Paris to Lourdes and via air for Lourdes to Paris CDG Airport. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

We took theTGV train from Montparnesse station in Paris to Lourdes direct this morning and it had maybe 3short stops along the way! Was pretty fast. But here's something to know: do not buy the tickets online from Eurail (I think that was the name). We paid $170 Euro with taxes and fees but if we had bought at the station, it would have been $113!!! That was for 2nd class which was clean and fine, by the way. Live and learn!!!

if you want to buy online, use

http://en.voyages-sncf.com/en/train-ticket

and select France as the ticket collection country, other you get redirected to Rail Europe.

The FAQs section also recommends www.capitainetrain.com, which is now the preferred site recommended by Forum users as more user friendly. I suggest you try that as well.

We paid 28 euro per person from toulouse to lourdes, a 2 hrs ride, less than 200km! On this route there is no discount usually. So 65 euro from paris isn't that bad.

Eurostar trains run direct from London to the 'Disneyland' station on certain days. By far the most efficient way if the times are suitable. The station's proper name is Marn-la-Vallèe Chessy.

You can fly from Paris Orly to Lourdes but traipsing to, around and from airports with small children might not be for the best.

There are frequent trains between the Disneyland Station and the centre of Paris.

As said above there are several fast TGV trains every day between Paris Montparnasse station and Lourdes every day and there's also one overnight, but you MUST have reservations and to get cheap fares buy your tickets asap as said.
