cost effective travel around paris

we arrive at CDG on October 16, 2013, we will be staying at Disneyland Paris for 2 nights(we will not be going into park) we will need to sight see around Paris and then be able to get from Disney Paris to CDG on October 18, 2013. I need to know cheapest way to do this, we are a family of four.

The cheapest and best way to do sightseeing is on foot. You might also find this useful:

You might also find it useful to have an app with a map of Paris on your phone.

Hope that helps.

Why are you staying all that way outside Paris, if your intention is not to go into the park but rather to sight see in Paris. Whatever savings you think you are making will be eaten up by the cost of commuting and the loss of time and opportunity. Give your budget in. Euros and you will get help finding accommodations within the 20 arr. of the city, a better option.

WEQueen, the OP has another thread going with the same info. Basically, they get to stay at Disney hotels for free, so that's where they're staying to sightsee in Paris. The kids are young adults.

To the OP, I see you're new to TA. It can get confusing to have two threads going with the same information on both of them.

Interesting! I would much rather stay in a cheap hotel (like Ibis) in the centre of Paris than stay for free (even in a better hotel) all that way out of Paris. We have just come back from Lisbon where we stayed bang in the centre. We saved so much time and money by being so close to the sights, transport, shops, restaurants and facilities such as chemist shops etc. We just had to open the hotel door to be where we wanted to be. Travelling into the city every day is so frustrating. We don't go on holiday to metroland, we go to Paris!
