Don't bother with bestrestaurantsparis.com. Half of the time they don't confirm your reservation and half of the time when they confirm it you show up and they don't realize you have a reservation. There were also times when I arrived in Paris and called the restaurant to confirm my reservation and they didn't know anything about it--after confirming by email. It was just a mess!

I have a few bookings made through the restaurants' websites and one through bestrestaurants, all with confirmation emails from the restaurants concerned, so I thought they were OK. How did you handle it? Would you suggest telephoning the restaurants to reconfirm?

Yes, when you get to Paris telephone any restaurants you have reservations through bestrestaurantsparis.com (or ask the hotel desk clerk if you are staying at a hotel). Ask them if you have a reservation. If not, you will probably be in time to make one. If you do, nothing is lost. I learned my lesson with that site.
