I’ll be stopping in Beaune for a night as I travel from Toulouse to Reims. I’ll probably arrive around lunch, tour the Hospice, eat dinner, and enjoy my night at the hotel. The next day, we head to Dijon for a quick tour and will end up in Reims in the afternoon. I don’t think that visiting a winery will be an option given the little time I have to spend in Beaune but I would at least like to sample some of the local wines (and bring some home of course). It seems like all the tasting rooms/caves in Beaune require 2-3 of hours. I’d like to know if there is a place in town where I can perhaps spend an hour or an hour and a half and still be able to enjoy some of the wines that this region has to offer. Hopefully walk-ins are welcome as I’m not sure how I’ll be able to plan in advance. Tasting would likely be a last minute thing we try to squeeze in before leaving. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!
