Hello everyone,

I tried to post a review of the flat my husband and I stayed in during our honeymoon, but since it is a rental flat and not a hotel Tripadvisor doesn't allow me to post a review and suggested that I post my review in a forum.

My husband and I stayed at a flat, Myhomeindijon.com, for 5 nights on our honeymoon and it was wonderful! We were greeted by Corinne, the owner, at the train station. She proceeded to give us both a driving and walking tour of the city. The flat is a studio, but with enough space for a separate sleeping and living room area, a TV/DVD player (and a wide selection of videos), a computer with internet access, small kitchen, and separate toilet and bath. Corinne stocked the fridge and left us with regional goodies, fresh fruits, hot brownies, a bottle of wine, and fresh flowers. It was very nice to be able to sightsee, but then come back to someplace so homey to relax. We also saved a lot of money by cooking some meals ourselves. Overall we thought that Dijon was a very nice, affordable city. It was easy to get to Beaune and Gevery-Chambertin for wine tastings, too. I found out about myhomeindijon on the Fodor's chatboard just by chance, so I thought that I'd pass the info along. It was a wonderful experience.

Hi Kay, I always say no one needs a car in Dijon, especially in the town center, with all the one way streets you get lost easily, and Dijon is not that big and has good transports. It is much more convenient for pedestrians!

Anyway there are several underground car parks and car spaces in the streets.

Happy travels!

:-)

Pelican, I'm not sure your other email address is working either... :-(

I ditto all the wonderful things said about Coco's My Home in Dijon; it was a beautifully furnished, comfortable, and convenient apartment; Coco is as helpful as can be. She really takes the extra step to make sure all her guests' needs are met. She even has a supply of new toothbrushes in case you forget yours; that is just one example of her thoughtfulness. And Dijon, lovely and interesting in itself, is a great location to use as a base for exploring Burgundy.

I wish also that I could post a review to this amazing place! I stayed here just last week for a couple of days while in Dijon and I must say that I cannot imagine that there is a more excellent, convenient and charming location to stay in Dijon!!

I stay in tons of hotels since I travel for work and some of them can be pretty swanky, but I must say that all of the fancy hotels cannot even compare to the amazing quality of this home in Dijon!!

We were also picked up at the train station then taken to the apartment and then given a tour of the city. I didn't think that I would much use a kitchen while on vacation, but it was just perfect! I love going to the grocery store in France and buying my food fresh and then just spending all day out in the city and then rest at the apartment and eating a fresh salad, baguette and cheese!! Especially with the USD so low right now, this was not only a great way to relax and enjoy french cuisine, but it saved a lot of money!!

I will come back here over and over and would recommend this to anyone! It's more like living in your own house with all that you need and it feels so much more personal than the big hotels. I didn't lack for a single thing while I stayed here!

I do have to say that after leaving Dijon I stayed at the Le Meridien in Paris...even in the executive suite...but I would have given that all up to stay at this 10 STAR apartment/B&B in Dijon!!!!! www.myhomeindijon.com

Recommended to all!!!!!!
