Parking over night!

Travelling back through France at the end of our holiday looking to stay overnight in St Malo., but seems the parking is somewhat dubious! Staying 22/9/12.

Can anyone recommend a decent hotel with secure parking within 20-30 mins walk of town please?

Thank you in Advance

Jules.

1. Re: Parking over night!

I think it would be tough to recommend a hotel without a budget. Many decent hotels offer some sort of parking option, or they can point you to the nearest garage. In your case, I would pick the hotel first and then browse their webpage or ask them directly about parking options.

If you want to save parking money, you can probably park on the streets at a meter spot overnight for little or no money. Make sure you understand the signs about restrictions in that case.

Thank you but have already considered that! Budget is not a problem but we need secure parking at hotel not on street!

3. Re: Parking over night!

I understand that the following hotels have secure parking onsite (not stayed in any of them though, I am afraid so cannot recommend for sure):

Residence Reine Marine (65/67 Avenue John Fitzgerald Kennedy)

Best Western Balmoral (24 Rue Théodore Monod)

Grand Hôtel Des Thermes (100 blvd hebert) - additional cost of €13 per day

Kyriad Hotel Saint-Malo Plage (49, Chaussée du Sillon) reserved parking at €10 per day

Hotel du Louvre (2, Rue des Marins) - private parking at €12 per day

If you look at a site like www.booking.com you can ask for parking only searches to help out, too.
