Trip to Bordeaux

Hi, We won a trip to Bordeaux recently and will be staying for 3 nights in May, we are booked into the Hotel Burgidiala and have no idea what the city is like. Any suggestions for where we could go at night would be appreciated. We do not want to spend a forture as we are heading to Portugal shortly after this trip

Congratulations on the trip—you'll enjoy Bordeaux. The Burdigala is one of the city's two luxury hotels and is pretty well situated to take advantage of the night life here.

You'll want to walk towards City Hall/Cathedral Saint-André, which will take you by The Connemara, a popular Irish pub you might wish to stop at to raise a glass or two. Then continue in to the Rue des Trois Conils to Place Camille Julian. This is the old part of Bordeaux where you'll find one of the centers of the city's night life around the Place de Parlement-Saint Pierre church.

If you still want to find more night life, you can continue on towards the river to the Quai Richelieu and then head north towards the Quai des Chartrons, or else head over to the Victoire area; these are two other active parts of town.

Hi, Thank you so much for your prompt reply, can you suggest any vineyard trips perhaps for half a day?

Take a look at the daily vineyard tours the Tourist Office has available. You might find this a good way to spend half a day and see an interesting property or two.
