My niece and I will be in Ireland in early May and want to find a B&B centrally located as we don't want to drive in the evening. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Also, to zeehan, please tell me more about Cronin's. My co-worker's name is Cronin and we would love to email a picture of Cronin's to him to "rub it in" that we are there and he is working. There is also a Cronin's near Cork as well.

NFQ, start with this site, you might find someplace. It is a good site as you can click on B&B's or Guesthouses and it gives you an option of a map of the location.

If you can get a place near Lewis Road, Park road or Muckross road near the town centre it will be good as it is easy walking distance to the centre. Just be careful with Muckross and Park road as they are both quite long.

If you do find a place that looks good make sure to check it out on the TA reviews - just in case.

If you want a real traditional hotel treat in Killarney, look at The Malton. It's right beside the train station, less than 5 mins walk to town centre. It was previously the Great Southern Hotel, very historical, go on, treat yourselves, make the Cronin guy green with envy.

Other locations that are close to town include Countess Road and Ross Road.

And heed the warning of Muckross and Park Road. Anything past the river on Muckross Road is too far for an evening walk and anything past the first round-about on the Park road means a decent treck along a busy road.
