Cottage rentals for 3 nights

I'm looking to hire a cottage on the coast for 3 nights (wed-sat) in July. I only seem to be able to find weekly rentals as it is high season. Can anyone recommend a good place (cottage or village)?? We will probably look for a cottage for about 6 people.

Try contacting Shamrock Cottages http://www.shamrockcottages.co.uk/ or try the Coastguard Station by Cliffden http://www.coastguard-station.com/index.htm

You will find it very difficult to rent for less than 7 nights during peak season.

In the grounds of the celebrated Ballynahinch Castle Hotel there are some luxury self-catering apartments in a beautiful old18th.c manor building overlooking the lake - some family members of ours stayed there once (c. 1999/2000) for a 3 night stay whilst visiting us and we got to snoop around the accommodation which was very nice. We may well try them out ourselves next year as they have one pet-friendly apartment whereas the hotel doesn't accept dogs. They are run independently of the hotel but obviously share the same idyllic location and there is nothing to stop you from accessing the public bar at the hotel which just happens to be one of our favourite watering holes in the whole of Ireland ;-)

Also try some of these in the nearby Roundstone Harbour locale:

These are the more traditional style cottage rentals (either standing solo or part of a small grouping forming a 'holiday village') and some do list 'minimum two night' rentals but most are of the 'week or weekend' option...

BTW both Roundstone and Recess are in the mid-Connemara region and are ideally located as a touring base for the whole area :-)
