Thanks Vales.

I've read the reviews and there are a few horror stories on there!

I was wondering if anyone local actually knew what the hotel was like and could reassure me that it isnt as bad as some people have said!

I was only there once a few years back when it just opened and I thought it was fine. I suppose that could have changed. The one guaranteed plus is its location, top of Temple Bar seconds from anything. Dont forget to check out the the Morrison hotel http://www.morrisonhotel.ie/ sometimes expensice but I did find some great deals on the WEB site also te Clarance hotel http://www.theclarence.ie/

Hi there

I stayed in this hotel about two years ago with my mother, on a shopping trip. The location is fantastic and on the day we were leaving we could leave our luggage in reception and go off shopping for the day. We found it to be fine and comfortable. The only thing I would say is the room we were in was on the back alley so the noise early in the morning of beer kegs being unloaded was a bit annoying but I am a heavy sleeper so I was not too bothered. There would very doubtfully be any deliveries on New years day but if you were staying longer than I would mention it to reservations when you are booking the room.

Don't worry anything on the downside of this hotel is outweighed by the location. And besides it is in the centre of the nightlife and I think you would not get a taxi for love nor money on new years eve in the city if you were staying elsewhere. There is actually a nightclub attached to the hotel and I am sure you won't be to bed early to be bothered about the noise, although we didn't hear anything from it when we were there.

Hope you enjoy your stay in our Fair City.
