Hi,

I stayed in Ballyliffin in 2002. We were there on a golf trip; Ballyliffin Golf club has two excellent courses.

For activities other than golf…

1) Visit the town of Cardonagh. Small town just up the street from Ballyliffin, good for a short walk around the town.

2) We enjoyed dinner at the Strand Hotel a few times. We stayed at the Pollan Beach Hotel in Ballyliffin. Both places have decent Pubs.

3) Marlin Head is a short ride from Ballyliffin. http://www.malinhead.ie/

4) Visit Grianan Aillech… www.stonepages.com/ireland/grianan.html

5) We took a ride up through Marin Head and over to Greencastle/Magilligan Ferry. We took the ferry over to Northern Ireland…toured Giant’s Causeway, Bushmills Distillery, Dunluce Castle, drove down through/around Belfast. Check out the entire North Antrim Coast area - http://www.northantrim.com/locations.htm

6) Drive over to Rosapenna Hotel area …. Just a short stroll down the road is the fishing village of Downings. Situated on a beautiful beach, its sandy shores ideal for children.

7) Derry, just below Ballliffin is worth a visit.

8) Other sites…The Guns of Dunree (one of my favorite sites), Gap of Mamore, O’Doherty’s Keep, and Buncrana Castle.

Have fun!
