First off, thank you for all of the useful information you have posted over the years in this forum. It really helps someone like me who has to plan a vacation without having set foot in a place.

My wife and I will be visiting the Mainland for one day in October to take in Skara Brae and some of the other sights. Really wish we would have learned about Orkney sooner because I would have planned more time there.

My question is, what recommendations do you have for pubs and/or restaurants in St. Margaret's Hope? We'll be doing most of our sightseeing on the West Mainland but want to head back close to where we're staying for dinner. We're staying at the Richmond Villa B&B in case it matters to the discussion.

I've seen info on the Murray Arms Hotel and it looks fairly decent. But...looks can be deceiving so I look to those in the know to get the real scoop.
