Good pubs in Glasgow

I was browsing through the posts and there weren't any recent discussions on good pubs. So, which pubs would you recommend for a person who is interested in beers beyond the usual Guinness and lagers? What I'm mostly interested in are pubs that have their own beer. Not necessarily real ales (although they are much appreciated), but beers that cannot be found in most other pubs. For example, in London there are thousands of pubs, but 95% of them have exactly the same five beers on tap. So now I'm looking for extraordinary and magnificent pubs with a great variety of different and original beers.

Thanks for these! Bon Accord especially looks fantastic! Luckily I'll be there with two friends of mine, so we'll have a bigger chance to explore the hundreds of different ales when we combine our pints.

Great list Partick! West Beer brews european style beers on the premises. I'm a fan of the beers at the Three Judges though it is a bit of a blokey pub, but has a fabulous ever changing selection of excellent ales.

If you want to try something very different indeed and definitely non-traditional try Brewdog. I'm not a fan of their wild and wacky flavours but many people love them and the staff let you have a wee taste beforehand. Its one of those places that divides opinion!

I would add Inn Deep on Great Western Road to that list. Operated by Bruce Williams (of Willaims Brothers Brewing) son, with a strong Williams slant without being Brewdog style branded. The State bar on Holland St is a welcome respite from Sauchiehall St.

And I might as well blow my own trumpet and say The Pot Still on Hope St has a selection of German bottled beers, a small selection of cask matured Scottish ales and Nigerian Guinness. Sorry.

I cannot tell a lie. I've been running the pub with my family since Dec 2011. Glad you enjoy it. It's all been good so far, and none of the family have killled each other yet, so that's a plus. :-)

The Squid & Whale on Great Western Road always has a fantastic selection of bottled beers a lot of which you don't get in other pubs in Glasgow.

The Brass Monkey in Finnieston is another good option as is Gumbo on Byres Road.

Munro's on great western road specialises in beer. They also have a big selection of craft and cask beers that changes every couple of days.
