Hello, everyone. Our party of two will be in the St. Andrews area on 30 Sept. and 1 October. I have learned that the Dunhill Championship will be on that weekend, and I have a few questions I hope someone can answer.
My reading of the Dunhill website indicates that for the first three days spectators may attend free of charge. We would be interested in attending either at the Old Course or Kingsbarns. Can you just turn up and walk the course? Do they limit the number of spectators? Are there certain or limited entry times and points of access to the course, especially the Old Course?
We will be staying in Crail, so if we go into St. Andrews (our preferred course) we would take the bus, so parking the car will not be a problem. We have been to St. Andrews previously and have seen the course from a distance but as golfers would love the opportunity to observe an event there. (Not nearly good enough to think about actually playing the course!)
I would appreciate any advice anyone has to offer. Thanks in advance for your help.
