We are a group of 30- 40 year old men wanting to plan a weekend in Belfast. Can anyone tell us of any good places to stay and to drink?

It depends on your budget as to where you want to stay but the central hotels are Europa 4 star, Days Hotel, Jurys, Travellodge all 3 star then to within a 10 - 15 minute walk to the City Centre you have Benedicts, Premier Travel Inn 3 star or the Hilton meant to be 5 star but I would put it more at a 4. There are plenty of others but the location of those ones are good for a night out.

Plenty of bars and clubs to choose from it will depend what you want from your night out to start off the night Robinsons, Fibber Magees (behind Robinsons plays live Irish Music) the Crown and the Beaten Docket (band plays upstairs). If you let me know exactly what you are looking for I'll get more info for you.

Enjoy your stay

Hello Jim

Have just returned from a weekend break in Belfast (two couples late 30's).

Stayed in the Hilton circa £150 per room for Fri & Sat nights - dinner on arrival (which we took in the bar) & breakfasts.

Alternatively, saw both the Jurys & Days Inn which are also close to the nightlife, but are no cheaper than what we paid.

Only went to a few bars on Sat afternoon & evening but found everyone to be very friendly & welcoming. Particularly loved the ambience in the Crown Liquor Bar, although this was more for the tourists.

Hope this helps.

Mark

hello, for your age group I would also recommend going to Cafe Vaudeville (drinking) or The Cloth Ear (drinking). Tara Lodge looks like a nice place to stay and is in an area with lots of cafes etc.
