Haven't done this in a few months but last time it was about £25. I'll have a look to see if any of the local taxi firms have fixed prices from the airport.

It's about £29.

You won't be able to book a Cardiff taxi, as the airport is in a different local authority area and therefore Cardiff cabs are not licensed to pick up there (unless you've booked a return cab from Cardiff).

The company at the airport is Checkers - tel 01446 711747 or email to cardiff@checkercars.com. Definitly worth booking in advance.

Actually the information about not being able to pick up at the airport for taxis from cardiff is incorrect.

as long as you prebook the taxi you can use a taxi from ANY local authority area. you can pre book either by phone or email.

taxis from other authroity areas can NOT be flagged down or tout for business but they can pick up pre-arranged bookings.

thanks

kevin

It will be around £30, depending on the time of day. It's about a 25minute journey as Cardiff Airport is actually near Barry.

If you come out of arrivals there is a taxi office for Checker Cars. They operate a fleet of people mover type cars ideal for airport style luggage.

I can tell you that the best taxi firm and rate is FLIGHT LINK Wales. You can see their web site for details. 100% reliable they use a mini bus so plenty of room for the 4 of you plus cases. See my reply to Norma-Devon if you want a good indian meal whilst in Cardiff. For any other cardiff query please let me know again.Regards, jdris
