1. Re: just found out about this craft fayre

Just found out they have a face book page called 'celtic fayre' - looks like it is going to be a big event with lots of food and craft stalls.

This is what they say in face book:

The Celtic Summer Fayre will be held on Cae Llan, BETWS Y COED between July 17th and July 21st inclusive.

Building on the success of the Llandudno Celtic Winter Fayre

(www.celticwinterfayre.co.uk), the Celtic Summer Fayre in Betws y Coed will be organised and managed in the same manner. The Llandudno event attracts visitors from all across North Wales and the North West. Some visitors come from even further away on coach day trips. Last year we had coaches from Leeds, Wakefiled, Castleford, Pontefaract plus many more from the Manchester and Liverpool areas.

During the period that he Llandudno Winter Fayre is held, vehicle numbers visiting Mostyn Champneys Retail Park (the host site) increase by 11%. Given time, the Betws y Coed Celtic Summer Fayre will deliver a similar increase in visitors numbers. Additionally, visitors to the event will make return visits to Betws y Coed.

The objective of the event is to promote foods & crafts to both local people and visitors. The plan is for this event to become a regular, annual, attraction in Betws y Coed with additional attractions and features being added each year. This event has the potential to be one of the largest food and craft events in Wales.

The Celtic Summer Fayre will be held in marquees on Cae Llan in the middle of the village. The event gives both food & craft producers the opportunity to display their wares to both locals and visitors. So far the 60 plus stalls includes:

> From Exquisite Jewellery to Stylish Handbags

>from Rich Strawberry Jam to Tasty Homemade Cakes

> From Fabulous Gift Collections to Exclusive Interior Accessories

> From Designer Fashions to Chic Fragrances

> From Decorative Photos to Art

> From yummy Chocolates to mature Cheese

> From Original Rocking Horses to Highest Quality Knitwear

In addition to the food & craft stalls we have:

C.U.E Performers – Dance and Drama Entertainment.

Songs from the West End Stage, Dance & Dance Classes, Circus Skills & Acrobatics

Ultimate Outdoors - display of Camping Equipment.

Birds of Prey display by North Wales Bird Trust – Owls as presented to The Queen.

Open from 9.30am to 5.30pm.

Admission is only £1.00
