Accommodation question

Hi guys,

Wonder if you could help me out please?

I need to go to Trimsaran in the next week or so. Looking for accommodation for one night. Reasonable B&B is fine, ensuite shower essential, within walking distance of restaurant for evening meal.

Could you suggest a suitable location nearish to Trimsaran that migt fit the bill.

Never been to Wales before, so apologies for total ignorance!

Cheers!

1. Re: Accommodation question

I did a quick web search of the area and this seems to be within a reasonable distance, serves evening meals (which might compensate for its apparent remoteness), and seems to do well on reviews:

There are nicer places but they are more expensive or further away.

What transport are you using?

3. Re: Accommodation question

further to Jim's post, the hotel in ferryside is a nice place, with a restaurant, and a pub in the village for a stroll and drink after your meal, however it is about 7 miles from Trimsaron, will make some enquires today and get back to you this evening

you are looking at llanelli 6miles

Kidwelly 4miles

5. Re: Accommodation question

Thank you both for this information.

The Three Rivers is a bit pricey, but I'm just going to check the other places you suggest.

Will let you know how I get on, we're coming down Friday to pick up a puppy at Trimsaran, and then drive back the next day.

Thanks again,

6. Re: Accommodation question

if you dont have to stay in trimsaron, why not drive to Carmarthen and stay there, lots of places at various prices, hotels, pubs with accom and food,b&bs, then it is only about 12 miles or so to trimsaron(about 15/20minutes drive)

7. Re: Accommodation question

I've booked the Four Seasons which will be ideal for the night. Very helpful lady answered the phone and I like the sound of the breakfast.

Cheers!

Hi guys,

Just a quick note to thank you for your assistance.

What a warm welcome we had in Wales, and of the wee bits we saw, what a beautiful. We'd love to go back for a proper visit.

Four Seasons at Pembrey. We could not have been made more welcome. A homely, cosy place, a friendly face, nothing too much trouble and a breakfast to die for!

Went to the Pembrey Inn for a couple of drinks and some food. What a welcoming and friendly place. A definite recommendation and the couple who run it are the nicest people you could ever want to meet!

I'd also like to mention the food. I have never seen so much food on one plate! Sirloin steak, salad, peas, tomatoes, and a mountain of chips. Same goes for scampi. Piping hot and delicious for under £20 including two drinks.

Thanks for the recommendations and I wouldn't hesitate to go back.

Oh, and puppy is home with us.
