I am coming into Newcastle on Friday late morning arriving at the Haymarket station by bus. Totally unfamiliar with public transit =)
From Haymarket, I wish to visit my granddad in Jarrow (at approximately Butchers Bridge Road and York Ave...near Monkdon Dene Park). If I were to hop on the yellow line to Jarrow station, then walk from there, is that feasible? Looks to be about a mile. Or, is there a bus from Jarrow station that goes that way?
If you're familiar with the area, please let me know your thoughts on this. Thank you!
