newcastle metro city center/new(metro)/new(central station)

Hello, Im heading to newcastle from King's cross, when i try to book from eastcoast.co.uk, they gave me Newcastle metro city center and Newcastle metro, however, when i called the hotel I'm staying, they told me the closest is the Newcastle Central Station(and also closes to St. James Park), is there like any trasnsfer or change of lines I need to make when i get to Newcastle inorder to get to Newcastle Central Station?

The main line station in Newcastle IS Newcastle Central, so no change of lines.

Just book to plain 'Newcastle', the other options are not relevant to your journey.

< they gave me Newcastle metro city center and Newcastle metro >

It also gave you Newcastle. The "Metro" options are for if you want to use the Tyne & Wear Metro system which you don't need to use
