Nottingham with kids

We're travelling up to Nottingham next week and are after wet weather activities to do with two small children (just in case of bad weather).

Are there any soft play areas recommended or decent swimming pools (with slides would be a bonus).

Thanks.

Here are some soft play areas that may suit you. Jungletastic is just off the A610 heading north out of the city towards junction 26 of the M1. Details are at jungletastic.com.

There is also Hoods Hideout on the ring road, the website address is www.nottinghamcity.gov.uk/index.aspx… This is at Beechdale Swimming Centre which also has a swimming pool ( but not any slides as far as I know.

In Arnold there is Tumbletown http://www.tumbletownplaycentre.co.uk/

For swimming with slides the best places are Rushcliffe Leisure Centre leisurecentre.com/Centre-Home/…70.aspx or further afield in Mansfield there is WaterMeadows which has wave machines and flumes www.mansfield.gov.uk/index.aspx…

Finally the other place worth considering with children on a rainy day is Nottingham Castle, which sometimes has indoor craft activities for children, best to ring on 0115 915 3700 and check. Or head to the Nottingham Contemporary if they have any activities for children taking place 0115 948 9750

Hope you have a good time in Nottingham

One more soft play area that has only opened recently, and is in Sherwood on the North side of the city.
