Best for sunday lunch?

I should know this, but don't!

Where's a really nice place to go for sunday lunch out of the city centre? Heard there's a good place in Thurgaton and also the Griffins Head in Papplewick.

Thoughts?

Well that is a huge question....on the south side of the city Perkins is very good and very stylish too. I think that would get my vote but I don't know the places that you mentioned.

I am sure you will get plenty of views on that one!

Another vote for Perkins - very good quality food and service, though not cheap.

I can also vouch for the Griffins Head at Papplewick, and also this side of town

It may not be the best view, or a beautiful riverside location - but for the best value late Sunday lunch / dinner then it has to be Stadium Leisure with 2 for 1 after 5pm, which means just £3.50 for a Sunday roast. Decent quality too so a bargain - and times are hard now, so not everyone can afford high prices especially if you want to take a family out.

No membership needed to use the restaurant at the front either
