Can anyone recommend a pub in London that will be showing the Bears playoff game on January 21? I'm a Chicagoan and I will be in London when the Bears play the Saints. It would be great to find a spot that caters to Americans -- or, more specifically, to Chicagoans. Thanks for your input!

I believe that you can watch it on your hotel room TV on Channel 5.

ALTHOUGH

the aerial that carries Channel 5 only has 68% percentage in the UK- some places have no signal at all (York) whilst others have no flicker at all (Bradford)?!

Bodean's which describes itself as' London's original BBQ smokehouse' and has a branches in Soho, Fulham and Clapham lists the game with an 8.00pm kick off. http://www.bodeansbbq.com/

Sky (the Murdoch owned satellite channel that some hotels have) will be showing one of the games on Sky Sports 2 but it's not clear from their website which. skysports.com/skysports/…00.html

As far as I am aware Channel Five do not have the rights to the NFL.

Channel 5 only show a Monday game and highlights of the Sunday games. As your game is on the Sunday, the only live channel in the UK showing it will be Sky Sports Extra (channel 404). The Sports Cafe will be definitely be the place to be.

Sorry, the play-offs might be on Sky Sports 2 (channel 402) as well, as Adam mentioned. Could be they will show one each

Hey Chicago,

What a game yesterday! I was fortunate enough to go - perfect Bear weather! Hopefully more of the same next week!!

We were in London two years ago during the Superbowl. We went to the Hard Rock Cafe believe it or not to watch! Sounds cheesy, but we actually met people from all over the world! It was a blast - pretty late hours but good!

Call ahead to make sure they have it on. They should - it will be prime time there in London!

Also see if you can make a reservation. Pack your jersey, The locals love to sport the jerseys!

Claudia

Thanks to all for your ideas. We haven't made our decision yet -- we will do that once we are all on the ground in London on Sunday morning -- but these suggestions will definitely come in handy!
