It depends what you consider to be chilly, but it's extremely unlikely to be on the 'warmer side'.

No, we've been in November and it was very cold, you'll need warm clothes but the problem is that's it's cold outside but very hot inside shops and museums etc.

Likely to be cold, wet and windy. Snow possible, but unlikely. Sunshine possible, but unlikely.

Chilly, definitely - although mid-November 2011 was unusually mild and one day it reached 18C, which was higher than some days in July and August that year!

The usual advice to wear layers always holds in the UK. That way you can adjust easily depending on what the weather and the buildings throw at you.

Last year, we didn't have a frost until the beginning of December... it was the latest we have put our reptiles into hibernation ever!

We really don't know what will happen this year, but it's very unlikely to be hot!
