Dining in Knightsbridge Area

I am interested in recommendations for dining near the Park Tower Hotel. We are not looking for Michelin Star over the top type places. Casual is fine and the particular type of food doesn't matter. We just want a nice place that people "in the know" would recommend.

I am surprised that the Cafe Rouge has been mentioned and from my experience of it, I would avoid it like the plague other than having a drink there.

Here is a Knightsbridge restaurant for you which I can highly recommend and doesn't have to break the bank.

It's not my favourite restaurant but as I said we had a few nice lunches there which were reasonable for the area because cheap and Knightsbridge don't go hand in hand so it rules out a lot of places.

Yep, OP: Knightsbridge is one of the most expensive and exclusive areas of London. That said, it's a good central location and you're never far from somewhere to eat.

If you decide to eat out in south Kensington, here are just a few you will find that won't break the bank.

Le pain quotidian (French)

Khans of Kensington (Indian)

Thai square

Comptoir (Lebanese)

Billy's steak house

Jia (Chinese)

Also, Orsini opposite the V&A.

And there's a branch of Wagamama in Harvey Nichols, probably the least expensive thing you'll find in there.

If you're venturing into Soho, Masala Zone has good Indian food.

And, of course, there's Chinatown.

Too many to mention. Yalla, Kettners, Cafe Boheme, Andrew Edmunds, Arbutus and tons of Chinese in Soho for really cheap. Look for offers on Squaremeal or toptable too.
