I'm writing this in hope that someone may have some experience solving this problem I'm facing. Just 2 days ago I was booking rooms to stay in YHA London Central's website. All necessary information was provided (included credit card info) but the website said there was an "error with the session" and brought me back to the shopping cart page, with all my rooms still unbooked. I then re-entered all the necessary information again, and the same error occurred. To my horror, my bank messaged me saying that there have been 2 approved charges to YHA WEB BOOKING. In other words, I have paid double, and received no confirmation whatsoever.
Attempts to contact YHA London Central have been futile. The staff was not able to follow-up due to no reference numbers / confirmations (which was precisely the issue since I did not receive anything myself). They did put me in contact with the finance team but since yesterday, no one has bothered to reply my emails to offer some form of updates on the issue.
Has anyone encountered this before? Could anyone advice?
